I'm planning this bike trip on the via Francigena, the ancient road used by pilgrims to go from Canterbury to Rome. I was planning to ride just a part of the trip, from Novara (close to Milan) to Rome. During this trip it's easy to find accomodation in church, monastery or other structures giving a small offer to the host (5-10€ I suppose), if you have applied for a "pilgrims card" (I already have a couple). More information on http://www.viafrancigena.bike/it/
Tour begin on the 02-04/06/2016 and End in Rome on the 12-14/06/2016
I'm looking for one or two companion, no matter if male or female.
I'm 31 years old and looking for people from 20 to 40 years old, who wants to enjoy the slow trip and a dive into the italian wine and food.
It's a total of around 800 km so 80-100km per day.
The trip passes through Pavia, Piacenza, Berceto, Massa-Carrara, Lucca, San Miniato (Pisa), Siena, lago di Bolsena, Viterbo, Roma.
