Europe to Asia 2017, August/September

Hey fellow cyclists, adventurers!

I will be biking from Europe to Asia starting in mid-September starting in Tallinn, Estonia. Slowly making my way east through to Turkey, Iran, the Stan's and into China.

Itinerary-ish (I'm very flexible)
Baltics, E.Europe (starting in Estonia): Sept-Dec
Balkans: Dec-? (Greece to hide out the winter)
Turkey: Feb-March
Ideally, want to start the stans in April-May to enjoy the mountainous regions when it become hot
China: June/July-September/October
SEA: November-December-? Ideally when it starts getting colder

I am a 25-year-old male, who has good amount of backcountry/camping and bicycle touring experience. I plan on wild camping as much as possible and once in a while for a hotel/hostel. To avoid the winter I'm totally game stay and volunteer somewhere warm!

I'm not afraid to go on smaller roads, try local foods, take the harder way for some epic views!

If anyone happens to be on this route this year. Send me a message! Would love to meet up if possible!

Always Pedaling,

Eugene

Hi Eugene,

think so will starting in spring `18 direction East. Via Ukraine, Georgia, Iran and Central Asia.

So it will be possible to meet you at the road.

Winter in Spain is this year pretty cold and snowy. And of course in the Baltic States bit more uncomfortable. Got snow even in April there.
So take care.

A friend and I are starting

A friend and I are starting in Norway in June, heading south, and tentatively planning to part ways around Turkey in late September/early October. Depending on how things are going, I am interested in continuing on, possibly to Iran or somewhere in Asia. I'm not too interested in riding across Central Asia in the winter, but will be interested to see if our routes meet up anywhere.

I will be arriving in Estonia

I will be arriving in Estonia around late August, early September. I plan on arriving in Turkey around January/Feb after making my way slowly through eastern europe & baltics, maybe spend a month or two around Turkey to avoid the harsh climate going through the mountainous eastern turkey and the stan's. I hear that getting to Eastern Turkey around April is pretty good!

Winter in Turkey

Winter in Turkey are different. South coast is warm. Inland can be cold and snowy.
April is a good idea for cycling.
Don't miss Georgia and Armenia. Pretty fresh in April but ok

The best place to stay the

The best place to stay the winter on your route is a south Iran - Persian gulf coast and islands. +28 degrees in december and january. From february may go to Stan's to cross its before june when heat will come.
Also you must clarify the situation with Turkmeny transit visa now. I heard that continuous refusals.
