Alaska to Argentina

Hi there fellow travellers, a friend and myself will be traveling from Alaska to Patagonia, starting 21st of June 2018 tickets bought, is there anyone out there who would like to join us? A little about myself, been cycling for the last few years, just finished a few months tour with my wife of Rhodes,Crete, Greece and a little of Italy, Also I started my touring by bicycle 3 year's ago with a trip from Turkey to Cape Town, it was wonderful and gave me the bug. Just a few things that we would like in a traveling companion, 1. a good sense of humour, 2.a good sense of humour and lastly a good sense of humour. Ps my Facebook page for cycling is justaroundthecorner54, please take a look.

( less than 2 weeks to go anyone else like to join.)

If you have the time and

If you have the time and (money for the ferry), a favorite route would be cycle down from Fairbanks through Anchorage to Whittier, then take the ferry to Valdez.  Go up the Richardson Highway and then make your way to Tok.  If you're in Anchorage in mid=July, check with me for hosting.  I'll be cycling in Scotland for a bit early this summer, but I will be back.

I agree ...

What Bernard said is just right. I cycled the same way 25 years ago and did meet quite a few cyclist on my way. So I could cycle alone and meet lots of local people or be with others cyclists from diferent nationalities on the road and enjoy to to exchange our experiences ... Those days, there are certainely even more people on the road, and certainely lots of warmshowers and casas de ciclistas waiting for you ! Anyway, enjoy your trip !

The winds in Patagonia are

The winds in Patagonia are extremely harsh and by cycling North-South you can avoid cycling into the wind.

Some do

People do the ride in both directions.  Like migratory birds, we get the northbound peeps in the spring and southbound peeps in the fall.  The preferred way for most is southbound.

@ Alfred Chappell re Greek islands

The English name of the Greek island of Rodos (often spelled Rhodos) is Rhodes, not 'Rhoads'. And your 'Create' for Kreta! t's Crete.
