THAILAND - for all who have been there

Hi, everyone!

I hope this topic is proper for my post.

I am studying at The University of Economics in Wroclaw and I am doing a masters degree in Tourism. I am currently researching “Touring cycling as the form of active tourism in The Kingdom of Thailand”.
This questionnaire is for all the people who just like me have been traveling through Thailand and the surrounding countries on the bicycle. That I can gather information to find out the experiences people have had in Thailand.

Please if you could be so kind to fill out this questionnaire that I have made I would be very grateful.

Much better places to find this data...

There are several FB sites that would yield a lot more data for this project.

Posts like this are part of the problem with WS, not part of the solution. Here , they just take up space and make it harder  to achieve the core business of WS - Guesting & Hosting

I hope this researcher is ALSO a genuine WS Member, rather than someone using the site as a data mine.

Well that's funny because I noticed it the FB group and other places also, so maybe the person is trying to get maximum coverage.

How about being helpful to the poster and listing the facebook pages I'm sure they'd be appreative.

Finally anyone looking for informaiton about cycling is a cyclist... Not sure about data mining, looks like only half a dozen people have completed it so far. lol.

Who cares if it's their first and last post, if they're thinking about cycling... I'm happy to do it..

To the OP. Good luck in your research project and welcome to the forums.

The OP states "This questionnaire is for all the people who just like me have been traveling through Thailand and the surrounding countries on the bicycle."

So it's pretty fair to assume that they are a genuine cyclist, especially given that they joined over a year ago. It would be an extremely inefficient way to mine for data anyway.

I fail to see how this post "takes up space" and affects the "core business" of WS. Anyone who isn't interested in the topic can choose to not read it and focus on those posts which they feel meet their interpretation of what WS should be about. After all, the post is about bicycle touring and by all appearances posted by a one year member who seems to state that they themselves have toured in the area in question. Hardly off topic in my opinion.

I have never understood your complaints about posts taking up space, can you clarify what you mean? I also fail to see how this post makes it harder to achieve the core business of WS.

Done!

Bicycle Fish, how is your passionate yet unconstructive and nonsensical comment helping to 'achieve the core business' of Warmshowers?

Isn't the point of WS to create a cycle community, not ridicule it?

Is it not better someone use this site to collect useful data for their project, rather than use it as a punching bag for their bad days?
