Hi. Just wondering if anyone has cycled through Pakistan in the last year or two? Im planning to reach Iran in a couple of months but Im not sure if its entirely safe to proceed to Pakistan. Ive heard Balochistan (the region bordering Iran ) is lawless and dangerous? Any ideas if its possible to cross by bike and how safe it would be?

I've just been to a talk by a guy who has travelled regularly all over Pakistan. He says it's become noticeably more dangerous in the last 5 years. Have you seen about the tour party being killed in Nanga Parbat yesterday?
Jesus! No - thanks for the heads up!! Id like to think there is some way around getting a flight to India. The only viable option seems to be going north and into China. Maybe theres a boat or long distance train from Iran into India? Anyone?
