I wish there was a website (or this website had a section) dedicated to long term cyclists posting their gear for buying, selling, trading, or donating their still usable gear to those looking for that.
I'm interested in doing another long bicycle tour, but the bicycle I have isn't up to doing the job, it's back brakes are pulling and I've had it fixed multiple times, but it still has the same issue.
Since the ride I want to do is from Florida to New Mexico, this is longer than any ride I've done before on a bicycle, and I want to have a decent touring bike that is relatively comfortable enough to be on it almost all day for at least several months.
Craigslist is not specifically designed for the long term bicyclist in mind.
Are there other online resources that I'm missing?
I've also done the lower Southern Tier ride on a very uncomfortable road bike that wasn't at all made for long term touring, so I have some experience doing touring, but I'd rather be outfitted properly this time.
Does anyone else out there have a good used bike for sale?
